Hitched! A Vibrant Italian Wedding

This weekend was one of those ah kind of weekends. After last weekend’s stunning {and labor-intensive} urban market wedding a few days to kick back was quite welcomed. We socialized with a dear college friend departing on a round-the-world adventure for at least a year, sipped on wine and some new favorite cheeses {Grand Margaux was amazing}, dined with good friends last night and tinkered in our new work spaces on Sunday. It rained a bit {drizzled, actually}, which was a welcomed gesture from Mother Nature for our newly planted asparagus ferns, ranunculus and anemones…today’s Italian wedding is also a welcomed suprise in our inbox from Mackenzie Marketing & PR. Quite the lovely way to kick off the week if you ask us…..

The decadent cakes look so classic, yet scrumptious, don’t they? A good old fashioned cake with that fun-your-fingers-through-the-frosting look are our favorites! Add Maiden Hair ferns and olive tree sprigs so delicately placed around the cakes and the look is impeccable.

The usage of ladders {you can stage with painted plywood to replicate this look} is an awesome focal point and can also provide an important usage of space for cakes and desserts or bars. Not to mention, this fits the rustic Italian-inspired vibe in this celebration.

Vibrant and beautiful! I couldn’t love the colors more, and every bit of this was festive, but classy. I adore the flirty details on her dress, and all the displays are very old country. And as wonderful as that cake looks (and boy, does it look yummy AND decadent), I’d have to say what stands out most is those delicious looking cannolis! I just want to sink my teeth into those. Oh man.
