Fall Inspiration: Refined Rustic

This weekend was the perfect illustration of what we enjoy about fall. A windy Friday night spent with family and friends eating at a cozy restaurant while the wind whipped outside. A Saturday spent with clients enjoying the natural inspiration that is fall. A Sunday spent seeing Wicked {it was beyond amazing!}, and traveling over the river and through the woods admiring the falling leaves. But nothing says fall to use more than intimate gatherings with family and friends. Pair that with plain blankets, rich pears, spiked apple cider and cinnamon sticks, and you’ve created an entirely autumnal setting.

When we dreamed up this series of photo shoots a while back, we wanted the premise to be simple, yet hearty and rustic. Just as if the setting had been plucked out of a forest. We worked with Floressence to create a setting that was warm and lovely by bringing in fallen birch branches for the centerpiece anchor. Red berries for delightful accents. Anjou pears for a pop of warmth. Of course, our spiked apple cider was a welcomed treat. When planning a fall wedding or party, think about sending your guests home with a little something that reflects the season. We wrapped a bundle of cinnamon sticks {that mimicked the look of stacked fire wood} with plaid fabric. So sweet and charming!
